ABERSOCH

NORTH WALES

Abersoch is a beachside village on the coast of North Wales. 

Like all UK beaches it really comes alive in Summer but there is still a good community here out of season who are continually organising events in the village. The annual fancy dress charge into the sea on New Years Day being one of the colder highlights.

 

Abersoch offers the perfect weeks family vacation - it has a fabulous main beach with golden sand and all sorts of watersports on offer. There is a great golf course for Dad to escape to just behind the sand dunes and on rainy days there is the nearby Glasfryn Parc with bowling and a number of other activities. 

 

Popular eating spots in town include Mananas Mexican restaurant, Fresh for a steak and some punchy cocktails and then the Harbour pub which seems to be the focal point of the village with its large terrace on the front.

 

To visit Abersoch is to fall in love with it. Bear Grylls has bought an island just off the coast and we all know he likes the finer things in life. :)
